چکیده
Salinity is one of the major problems modern agriculture, affecting physiological, growth and plant production. Basil (Ocimum basilicum) a widely used in cooking, pharmaceutical cosmetics industries. Salicylic acid can be strategy to mitigate harmful effects saline stress on basil plant. The present study aimed evaluate plants with, gas exchange, chlorophyll fluorescence indices (cv. Cinnamon) under salicylic acid. experimental design was randomized block 5x5 incomplete factorial scheme generated through central composite design. factors we five electrical conductivities irrigation water (ECw– 0.5, 1.3, 3.25, 5.2 6.0 dS m-1) doses (SA– 0.0, 0.29, 1.0, 1.71 2.0 mM), with replications two per replicate. Growth, O. basilicum cv. Cinnamon were evaluated. Canonical variables analysis confidence ellipses (p ≤ 0.01) performed interrelationship between factors. alleviated deleterious salt growth, basil.

Changes in antioxidant enzymes activity and physiological traits by exogenous salicylic acid in basil (Ocimum basilicum) under Pb stress
Salicylic acid (SA) is a key molecule that alleviates abiotic stress in many plant species. In this study, the role of SA was examined to moderate lead (Pb) toxicity in the basil (Ocimum basilicum). The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with 4 levels of PbNO3; 0 (control), 100, 200 and 300 mg kg-1 of soil as the first factor, and the foliar application of SA at 3 levels...

The possible alleviating effects of salicylic acid on protection of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) cv. Parastu under water stress conditions were investigated in the University of Zanjan Agriculture Research Station during 2008. Water stress was imposed by withholding irrigation at 50% flowering (flowering water stress, FWS) and when 50% of the pods grew 2-3cm (pod-formation water stress, PFWS). Sa...

The present study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of salicylic acid on growth, yield and macro-elements absorption of fennel in split-plot as base on randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications in Tehran, Iran. Irrigation regime as main plot was undergone in 5 levels that included: I1: full irrigation, I2: cut off irrigation at stem elo...
متن کاملInfluence of salicylic acid pre-treatment on emergence and early seedling growth of cucumber (Cucumis sativus)under salt stress
Salicylic acid (SA) is a common, plant-produced signal molecule that is responsible for inducing tolerance to a number of biotic and abiotic stresses. An experiment was therefore conducted to test whether the application of SA at various concentrations (0, 0.25, 0.50 or 1.0 mM) through a seed-soaking method would protect cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings subjected to salt stress. Aft...
